UBC Okanagan (Location TBC) - Kelowna Fall Training Kelowna
September 22nd 2026 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Organizer: Victoria Cote (Event Director)
Map: UBC-Okanagan
Overview
Welcome to our Kelowna fall training series! We have trainings on Tuesday evenings throughout September and early October. These low-key orienteering activities will happen starting at 6:00pm at a different location in the Kelowna area each week. There will be both beginner and advanced courses, so there is something for everyone and their family.
Terrain
As the evening light fades, this is our first urban training of the fall at UBC Okangan. Prepare some fast feet with the transition to urban orienteering. Road or trail shoes are appropriate, no full leg cover needed.
Meeting Location
Exact meeting location on campus TBD - paid parking is in effect across campus, so consider biking or taking the bus.
If you need a ride, please email contact@sageorienteering.ca and we will see what we can do to help you out if another member is coming from your area of town.
Registration
Registration will open soon.
Even if you registered for the spring series, please also register for the fall series so we know how many people are coming.
Cost
- No cost for Sage Orienteering Club members
- $5 for visitors from other Canadian and international orienteering clubs
Sage orienteering club membership is required, which costs $10/adult for the year and cheaper prices for kids. Membership is required to fulfill our insurance obligations. We try and keep costs to a bare minimum while still paying for insurance and map printing. Everybody here is a volunteer doing our best.
If you are able to make a donation to help cover some map printing costs or for other equipment, it would also be much appreciated. We are incurring a few hundred bucks of permit costs for these fall events, so please send us an E-transfer or bring some cash if you appreciate these events so we can keep permitting urban areas close to town that have permit fees.
Kelowna
Orienteering events occurring in the Central Okanagan, typically around Kelowna and Vernon.
