Coyote Park Salmon Arm Weeknights
June 13th 2016 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Organizer: Abbigail May (Event Director)
Map: Coyote Park
The second last event of the 2016 Salmon Arm Spring Series. Registration at 5:30 pm, Mass start at 6:00 pm. Coyote Park is small so we are using a different format this week. We will do a team sprint style event with participants running 3 different loops each. Choose your category (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and choose a partner (or we will find you a partner on the day). Partners will alternate running a loop and tagging off to their teammate. Each team will complete 6 loops by the end of the race.
You can partner with someone in the same category, or with someone running longer or shorter loops. This is a great opportunity to bring along a beginner friend or child. You can shadow them on the beginner loop, then they can take a rest while you run your loop. Each loop should take about 10-12 minutes.
There will be a mass start of all teams at 6:00pm. If you can't make the mass start you can still participate (but won't get the excitement of the head to head racing!). You can also do the event solo if you prefer and just complete your own 3 loops in succession. Since each participant will require multiple maps, it is very important that you register ahead of time for the distance you wish to run. Click on the tabs to the right.
Parking is limited at Coyote Park. Please park tightly in the lot or along one edge of the road. Participants on Intermediate and Advanced courses are advised to wear long socks +/or pants. You will likely come across some unfriendly greenery.
