Dilworth - Kelowna Fall Training Kelowna
September 29th 2026 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Organizers: David Bakker (Event Director), Victoria Cote (Assistant)
Map: Dilworth
Overview
This our last evening training of the year in Kelowna - but the Telemark Adventure Run is coming up on October 25th! Please bring a headlight this week - it is getting dark out early.
Welcome to our Kelowna fall training series! These low-key orienteering activities will happen starting at 6:00pm at a different location in the Kelowna area each week. There will be both beginner and advanced courses, so there is something for everyone and their family.
Terrain
This event will mostly be on trails on Dilworth mountain, with some road routechoices available. The advanced course will have some limited off trail travel options. It is steep out there - so bring some shoes with good tread.
Meeting Location
Dilworth Mountain parking pullout at the intersection of Summit Dr and Skeena Dr. See map below for exact meeting location.
There are no public washroom facilities in the vicinity.
Registration
Registration is now open.
Even if you registered for the spring series, please also register for the fall series so we know how many people are coming.
Cost
- No cost for Sage Orienteering Club members
- $5 for visitors from other Canadian and international orienteering clubs
Sage orienteering club membership is required, which costs $10/adult for the year and cheaper prices for kids. Membership is required to fulfill our insurance obligations. We try and keep costs to a bare minimum while still paying for insurance and map printing. Everybody here is a volunteer doing our best.
If you are able to make a donation to help cover some map printing costs or for other equipment, it would also be much appreciated. We are incurring a few hundred bucks of permit costs for these fall events, so please send us an E-transfer or bring some cash if you appreciate these events so we can keep permitting urban areas close to town that have permit fees.
