Organizer: David Bakker (Event Director)

Map: Haines Creek

Come on out to the best mapped forest around Salmon Arm for some orienteering training. The course will be a series of various training exercises to practice the various elements of the sport.

There is just one course, but is has a number of different cut-off points along it. You can even drive up the hill and skip the first and last trainings if you don't want to bother with the climb.

At its full length, the course is around 6km, but has cut offs built in to create roughly 2km and 4km options.

This is just a training event and will not have SI-timing, so don't bother brining your SI stick. No separate control descriptions either - this is a low budget event.

The following exercises are built into the course:

1. Warm-Up:

2. Contouring

3. Control Picking

4. Corridor-O

5. Bearings

6. Contours Only
