PRODUCTION AND REVISIONS:

City of Kelowna using pre-generated LiDAR based contours only slightly modified. Produced in 2018, updated in 2019-2020 by David Bakker in Open Orienteering Mapper 0.8.1., then updated to OOMapper 0.9.2.

This map is in the same map file as as Academy Hill, and the download file is called "Academy Hill". There is no UBC-Okanagan download folder in the Sage Nextcloud.

Missing map fieldwork on the "Academy Summit" section - interrupted by COVID-19.

LAND OWNERS:

  • Mission Group (apartments on east side of Academy Way) - this area is around 25% mapped (construction)
  • Veda (apartments on west side of Academy Way) - this area is around 25% mapped (construction)
  • Aberdeen Hall Preparatory School (private school at north end of hill - this area is about half mapped (construction)
  • City of Kelowna owns the forested property and farmland on east side of hill (not defined as a park) - this area has finished being mapped
  • Some Private Property (ownership unknown to us) on the SE of the forested hillside.
